Having had an illustrious career and a whole host of chart success, Don Powell showcases his longevity as a musician, not settling with the success he has already had, instead continue to rock ‘n’ roll with his new band Don & The Dreamers.
Back with their latest offering ‘Don’t Let me Be Misunderstood’, Don & The Dreamers also announce their upcoming debut album It’s Never Too Late To Be A Rock Star. A band made up of hugely successful musicians in their own right, D&TD’s members have appeared on more than 1000 records combined and their experience and musical prowess shines.
A considered, tight and musically rich cover of the hit originally written for Nina Simone, and later covered by The Animals, the track is a prime example of the band’s impeccable abilities. showcasing soaring vocals, intertwining piano and guitar riffs, warming bass and tight, driving drums. The new single also features organ from Mick Gallagher, a previous member of The Animals before then playing with The Clash and Ian Dury & The Blockheads, and also recording an album with Paul McCartney.
‘Don’t Let me Be Misunderstood’ is out now ahead of the full album It’s Never Too Late To Be A Rock Star which is due for release this coming March.
