Tottenham handed major boost as Harry Kane trains ahead of Carabao Cup Final

Big Boost

The Daily Mail are reporting that Harry Kane has returned to training today, which is huge boost for the club as they prepare to take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup Final on Sunday.

The talismanic striker didn’t train with his teammates but he did complete a session outdoors and there is hope he will join up with the rest of the squad tomorrow and be available for the squad’s trip to Wembley for the first showpiece final of the season.

Kane limped out of last week’s 2-2 draw with Everton but should he recover Ryan Mason will feel far more confident about winning Spurs first piece of silverware since 2008.

Various media sources have today reported that Jose Mourinho took several players to task  and let them in on some home truths at the training ground after he had been sacked earlier this week.

Mourinho was dismissed from his role on Monday by Daniel Levy following a run of just one win in six and a dismal exit from the Europa League.

Tottenham become the only club he has failed to win a trophy at since Porto.
