Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka has received a fresh contract offer from the club, according to reports.
The subject of England international Saka’s future has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the red half of north London over recent months.
This comes with the gifted wide-man’s stellar campaign last time out having seen interest in his services begin to mount.
With just two years remaining on his current terms at the Emirates, those in a position of power at Arsenal, in turn, have been left with no choice but to act, opening negotiations with Saka over a new and improved contract.
And now, as alluded to above, a fresh insight into the situation has been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail, who claims that Edu Gaspar and co. have gone as far as to table an opening offer to their gifted academy product, and his representatives.
The deal in question, it is understood, would see Saka’s current wages of around £70,000-per-week doubled, and then some.
Any such terms would make the 20-year-old, despite his tender years, one of the highest paid players on Arsenal’s books, a testament to his importance to the cause in north London.
It is reiterated that ‘as it stands there is no agreement’ between the parties, but confidence is said to be high amongst all associated with Arsenal that common ground, in due course, will be found.
