Liverpool ‘agree’ Thiago Alcantara terms & Bayern midfielder already ‘found a house’ in England

Liverpool ‘agree’ Thiago Alcantara terms

RMC Sport reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi has announced on Sunday that Thiago Alcantara’s move to Liverpool is getting a lot closer.

Thiago and Liverpool have agreed terms on a 4-year deal.

Also, Thiago has reportedly informed some of his team-mates at Bayern Munich that he’s leaving to join the Reds.

Finally, it’s claimed that the Spaniard has already found a house to live in once he joins Liverpool.

So is Thiago’s move to Liverpool a done deal?

Sadly, not yet.

Mohamed Bouhafsi notes that Liverpool still need to finalise terms with Bayern over the 29-year-old midfielder.

It’s also worth pointing out that Mohamed Bouhafsi failed to state how much Liverpool would need to pay to complete the deal.

Has Mohamed Bouhafsi actually revealed anything new on the likelihood Thiago joins Liverpool?

Cynics may say ‘no, not really’.

It was already confirmed last week that Liverpool are in talks with Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara.

Sport Bild’s Christian Falk claimed that Reds manager Jurgen Klopp “really wants” to sign Thiago.

However, he added that Liverpool “need to act quickly” if they hope to sign the Spaniard. Why? Because it’s claimed that “other Premier League clubs” are also trying to land the 29-year-old.

For the record, Christian Falk failed to name which other English clubs are in the race to sign Thiago.

Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that Klopp is keen on signing Thiago, whilst noting that the player “would love” to move to Anfield.

Romano added that Thiago is “convinced” about the Liverpool project. But he also noted that while the former Barcelona man is “pushing” for a Liverpool move, it’s believed that finalising the transfer will be difficult.

Thiago to Liverpool: Does it make sense?

Some Liverpool fans may wonder why their club are being linked to Thiago.

A midfielder who is approaching the latter years of his career, the Thiago to Liverpool rumour raises questions.

Would the Bayern star manage to get into Jurgen Klopp’s team? If not, will the midfielder prove a distraction on the bench?

And, if Klopp does sign Thiago, where would he play in the XI? If in midfield, does he have the work-rate to force the likes of Gini Wijnaldum or Jordan Henderson out of the team?
