The 2021/22 FA Cup is now firmly under way and we are getting into the business end of the competition.
The 3rd and 4th round of the FA Cup have already thrown up a number of shock results.
In the 3rd round, for example, Championship outfit Nottingham Forest would beat Arsenal 1-0, whilst Cambridge United claimed the scalp of Newcastle.
In the 4th round, meanwhile, Manchester United were knocked out by Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest hammered Leicester City 4-1, Boreham Wood beat Bournemouth 1-0 and Kidderminster – though they eventually came up short – took West Ham to extra time before losing 2-1 thanks to a Declan Rice goal in the 121st minute.
FA Cup 5th round; dates, times and matches
So, when does England’s most magic competition return to our screens?
Well, unlike the previous two rounds, the majority of 5th round ties will take place in midweek.
The 5th round will get underway way on Tuesday the 1st of March, with Peterborough and Manchester City kicking off at 7:15 pm UK time.
Crystal Palace and Stoke then face off at 7:30 on Tuesday, whilst Middlesbrough will host Tottenham at 7:55 on the same day.
There are then three games taking place on Wednesday the 2nd of March.
Chelsea take on Luton at 7:15 pm, Southampton host West Ham at 7:30 and Liverpool will welcome Norwich City to Anfield at 8:15.
There is then one 5th round match on Thursday the 3rd as Frank Lampard’s Everton take on serious underdogs, Boreham Wood.
The 5th round action is then rounded out on Monday the 7th of March with Championship duo Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield going head-to-head.
