Another entertaining night of cup football
As we progress through the Carabao Cup, there’s some teams who are already catching the eye as the second round draws to a close.
In the latest round of games, there were a few impressive performances on Wednesday night.
Most notably, Swansea scored six goals against Cambridge United, with five goals coming in the first half.
Meanwhile, Sunderland were one of the biggest shocks of Wednesday night.
The Black Cats stunned Premier League side Burnley, winning 3-1 at Turf Moor.
Elsewhere, Bournemouth struggled to beat Forest Green, winning on penalties.
Everton also made a comeback against Lincoln, winning the game 4-2 after the hosts initially took the lead.
Leicester, Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth also progress.

Swansea will go on without Graham Potter
After Swansea lost their promising boss in Graham Potter, you’d think they’d initially struggle.
The Englishman joined Brighton after the Seagulls agreed a compensation package with Swansea.
Steve Cooper then replaced him and he’s started his managerial reign in fine form.
Swansea have won all but one of their games so far this season, having drawn 0-0 with Derby earlier in the month.
They continued their fine form with an emphatic 6-0 win over Cambridge United.
While the win tonight may have come against lower league opposition, Swansea could be a team to look out for this season.
If they continue their brilliant start, Cooper could soon be a manager in demand as well.

Lucas Digne is Everton’s most important player
After their loss to Aston Villa last week, Everton fans hoped for a confidence-building performance against Lincoln, a team they should have no problem beating.
Everton even fielded a full-strength team, but their performance was not exactly vintage.
That’s because they had to dig deep to win the game.
After going 1-0 down, goals from Lucas Digne and Gylfi Sigurdsson put Everton 2-1 ahead.
However, Lincoln came roaring back and brought themselves level in the 70th minute.
Thankfully, Alex Iwobi and Richarlison then struck late on to see their side through to the next round.
Now, it should be Lucas Digne getting all the plaudits.
The Frenchman’s goal was a wonderfully struck free-kick and his brilliant assist for Richarlison made sure of Everton’s victory.
Not only was Digne an offensive threat, despite conceding two goals, he was solid defensively.
If not for the left-back, it could have been a very different story for Everton tonight and they’ll need him on top form if they want to impress this season.

Sunderland punch above their weight to shock Burnley
Sunderland rolled back the years on Wednesday night as they saw off Premier League opposition.
The Black Cats may have gone 1-0 down but Jack Ross’ side came roaring back, scoring three goals to complete a comfortable win.
Will Grigg scored their first goal, bringing Sunderland level at Turf Moor.
Jack Ross’ side then scored two quickfire goals, Tom Flanagan scoring in the 47th minute before George Dobson gave his side a two-goal cushion three minutes later.
While Sunderland still lie in League One, they proved tonight they can still compete with top-tier clubs and fans will be hoping to be up there competing with them on a regular basis soon enough.
