Updates on the fitness of Paris Saint-Germain stars Marco Verratti and Keylor Navas have been forthcoming online this afternoon.
PSG vs Bayern
Thomas Tuchel’s men are of course set to go head-to-head with Bayern Munich tonight, in a Champions League final clash.
After ousting RB Leipzig in impressive fashion in the competition’s semi-finals, PSG will now face off with the German champions, for a shot at European glory.
It is Bayern who will head into proceedings as heavy favourites to emerge victorious, though, amid a staggering spell of recent form.
The Bavarians’ 3-0 downing of Lyon in their own last-4 outing came as the club’s 20th consecutive win across all competitions.
Hansi Flick’s outfit have also won 10 straight in the Champions League, with the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry continuing to dazzle with their goalscoring exploits:

Verratti on the bench
As such, PSG will no doubt need to be at the peak of their powers at the Estadio da Luz later today, if the Ligue 1 giants are in with any chance of securing the club’s first-ever Champions League title.
And, as outlined above, ahead of the showpiece clash in the Portuguese capital, updates on a pair of the Parisians’ key men have this afternoon been forthcoming.
First up is Marco Verratti.
Italian midfielder Verratti has been struggling with a calf injury for several weeks now, an issue which ruled him out of PSG’s quarter-final meeting with Atalanta.
The 27-year-old was fit enough to emerge from the bench versus Leipzig in the competition’s last round, leading to hope that Thomas Tuchel would be boosted by the return of his midfield conductor from the off tonight.
However, as per French reporter Loic Tanzi of RMC Sport, Verratti will in fact only be fit enough for the bench once again.
The news on PSG shot-stopper Keylor Navas, on the other hand, is more positive.
Navas was also absent from his side’s semi-final starting XI, after picking up a hamstring problem.
The former Real Madrid man, though, according to Tanzi, will return between the posts versus Leipzig.
