Sevilla agree deal to sign West Ham’s Javier Hernandez – Sky

As per a report from Sky Sports News, La Liga outfit Sevilla have clinched an agreement with West Ham over the signing of Javier Hernandez.

Hammers stint

Hitman Hernandez, also known as Chicharito, has been on the books of West Ham since the summer of 2017, when he made a return to the Premier League from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Mexican international, meanwhile, has since gone on to drift in and out of the starting XI at the London Stadium.

After notching 8 goals across 28 league appearances during his debut campaign with the Irons (16 starts), Hernandez followed up by finding the net a further 7 times last season, in 25 outings (14 starts).

As such, evidently, the former Manchester United man never truly managed to establish himself as the goalscoring threat that West Ham have so-long been crying out for.

Therefore, the stellar start to life in English football made by Hammers’ summer signing Sebastian Haller has since seen Hernandez become expendable.

La Liga bound

As a result, news that the 31-year-old now looks set to be on his way out of London has come as little surprise.

As per the aforementioned report from Sky Sports News, West Ham have agreed on the terms of a deal to sell Hernandez to Spanish outfit Sevilla:
