Scott McTominay returns to Manchester United training before Club Brugge

Injury boost for Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has returned to training ahead of the Europa League clash with Club Brugge on Thursday.

McTominay has been one of Manchester United’s breakout stars over the past two seasons.

The Scottish midfielder earned himself a spot in the team under Jose Mourinho, and has also been used heavily by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Though, McTominay suffered ligament damage during the clash with Newcastle on Boxing day.

As a result, he’s now lost his place in the middle of midfield to Bruno Fernandes and Nemanja Matic.

However, McTominay could be back in the squad as early as Thursday.

McTominay returns to training before Club Brugge trip

McTominay was pictured in training with the Manchester United first team on Wednesday afternoon, in what will be a boost for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

That means that we could even see him feature on Thursday evening.

Victor Lindelof, who missed the clash with Chelsea, also featured in training ahead of the game according to the Mail.

Axel Tuanzebe, who hasn’t played for Manchester United since December, was also reportedly involved.

Manchester United will begin their Europa League knockout campaign with a trip to Belgium’s Club Brugge on Thursday.
