Those of you in the UK and Ireland (and selected locations elsewhere who might have reception) have got their Saturday evening (November 21st) viewing sorted! Despite the selections in question being freshly released, the British free-to-air television channel Sky Arts (on Freeview, Sky, Virgin Media and other providers) are treating their viewers to a couple of crackers, perfect for those who haven’t yet bought either to check them out – try before you buy, to a degree. First, at 8pm, is the Restored. Re-Edited. Remixed version of Delicate Sound of Thunder. Running on Sky Arts for two hours, this is the stunning new version which came out in the Later Years box set, and on Friday, November 20th (the day before Sky’s broadcast), a standalone release on Blu-ray, DVD, 2CD, 3LP and deluxe 4-disc box (https://www.brain-damage.co.uk/latest/pink-floyds-delicate-sound-of-thunder-unboxing-video.html). For those who are yet to see just how different, and improved, the new version is, prepare to be amazed! Following on from Delicate Sound, at 10pm, is the recently released Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets: Live At The Roundhouse, which is available now on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP (https://www.brain-damage.co.uk/latest/nick-masons-saucerful-of-secrets-live-at-the-roundhouse-2lp-2cd-dvd-blu-ray-ci-2.html), and is (in our view) an essential purchase. The running time on Sky Arts for this is two hours and twenty minutes, but as with Delicate Sound, we don’t know if they will be interrupting proceedings to screen adverts at strategic points during the broadcast…

Have You Got It Yet? The Story of Syd Barrett & Pink Floyd – DVD/Blu-ray/Digital
Just announced: the DVD and Blu-ray, and digital release, of Have You Got It Yet? The Story of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd is coming on July 19th, 2024. The critically acclaimed – and fan acclaimed – documentary film Have You Got It Yet? is a compelling dive
into the life and genius of Syd. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Roddy Bogawa and the late, acclaimed album cover designer Storm Thorgerson, the feature length documentary drew praise for its candid glimpse into the prismatic character and artistry of Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett. Released in cinemas worldwide in Summer 2023, Have You Got It Yet? achieved a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as a successful theatrical run with many sold-out screenings. Intimate interviews with band members David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Roger Waters uncover Barrett’s ongoing impact on the group. Going a step further, the film also includes an interview with Syd’s sister, Rosemary Breen. Narrated by actor Jason Isaacs, the film also features original band managers Peter Jenner and Andrew King, as well as The Who’s Pete Townshend and Blur’s Graham Coxon. In addition to the full-length film, the joint DVD and Blu-ray set includes a plethora of bonus features. Two poignant live performances of Arnold Layne are highlighted â the first features David Gilmour David Bowie (originally released in Gilmour’s Remember That Night Live At The Royal Albert Hall, 2007). The second is a performance from 2007’s The Madcap’s Last Laugh â a tribute concert held at London’s Barbican for Syd Barrett featuring Gilmour, Mason, and Richard Wright in their
final performance as Pink Floyd. Additionally, the DVD and Blu-ray includes an interview with Bogawa and director producer commentary of the film with Bogawa, Rupert Truman, and Julius Beltrame. Further exploring his creative works, the set features discussions surrounding Barrett’s paintings, and spoken word performances of Barrett’s lyrics by comedian Noel Fielding (Dark Globe), poet Rob Fitterman (Rats) and actor Gerard Bell (Lucifer Sam). The package, designed by StormStudios, is completed with an exclusive Have You Got It Yet? poster, which was also designed by the studio. Ordering details will follow here shortly – we’ll update this story accordingly. The documentary is a fascinating and moving look at Barrett and we heartily recommend it. It’s great news that it is finally getting a physical/digital release, enabling those who are yet to see it, the opportunity.

Second night in Mexico City for Roger Waters 2020 tour
Palacio de los Deportes (2020-tour-zone/october-8th-palacio-de-los-deportes-mexico-city-m.html). The show will take place on October 8th, 2020 (2020-tour-zone/october-8th-palacio-de-los-deportes-mexico-city-m.html) (with the first show taking place on the 7th) and tickets for this new date go on sale on Thursday, February 20th at 11am CST, through this link at Ticketmaster.com.mx (https://www.ticketmaster.com.mx/promo/rhfagy). Roger's upcoming tour is, as normal, shrouded in secrecy, but as the tour posters reveal it is a first for Roger as it is being presented in the round . This basically means that the stage is sat in the middle of the floor level of the venue, with the band and performance being aimed at those sat all around. This should also mean that most seats in the venue will have an excellent view! Should additional shows be announced for Mexico, or elsewhere, we will of course let you know as soon as we can!
