RogerWatersUsAndThem.com (http://www.RogerWatersUsAndThem.com). Us + Them is said to feature state-of- the-art visual production and breath-taking sound in this unmissable cinema event. Anyone who saw The Wall cinema screenings will know how well that was presented, so expected similar quality this time around too. From the look of the teaser trailer, below, it should be a great experience on the big screen! Filmed in Amsterdam on the European leg of his 2017 – 2018 Us + Them tour which saw Roger and his band perform to over two million people worldwide, the film features songs from legendary Pink Floyd albums (The Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, Animals, Wish You Were Here) and from his last album, Is This The Life We Really Want? Waters collaborates once more with Sean Evans, visionary director of the highly acclaimed movie, Roger Waters The Wall, to deliver this creatively pioneering film that inspires with its powerful music and message of human rights, liberty and love . We’ve had a lot of emails asking what happens after the screenings with the footage – as yet there are no details of a home release on DVD/Blu-ray of this concert film, but rest assured we will let you know as soon as the details are available. We cannot believe it will be long before there’s an announcement of what’s being released. Now, here’s that teaser trailer for what looks like an unmissable film:

Happy birthday to David Gilmour!
Our very best wishes, and many happy returns, to David Gilmour who is celebrating his birthday today (March 6th)! Born and raised in Cambridge, David became involved with various bands in the area, principally Jokers Wild who were a popular draw when they played, before joining Pink Floyd in 1968. More recent years have seen David concentrating on his solo career, and helping out chums on their musical projects on an ad hoc basis. In 2019, some 120+ of David’s guitars were auctioned, raising $21.5 million (including some record-breaking amounts for individual instruments) which went to the environmental charity ClientEarth (https://clientearth.org). He also appeared as a guest performer at the Richard Thompson 70th Birthday Concert (https://www.brain-damage.co.uk/latest/david-gilmour-guest-appearance-at-richard-thompson-70th-birthday-co.html), playing Dimming Of The Day and Fat Old Sun, and joining the encore. In 2020, on February 25th, shortly before all activity stopped around the world due to Coronavirus, David joined the stellar bill for the Mick Fleetwood Friends Celebrate The Music of Peter Green and The Early Years of Fleetwood Mac (https://www.brain-damage.co.uk/latest/mick-fleetwood-friends-concert-box-set-available-to-orde.html) concert at London's Palladium, which has now been released as a 4LP, 2CD, Blu-ray and book box set (https://www.brain-damage.co.uk/latest/mick-fleetwood-friends-concert-box-set-available-to-orde.html). The concert was in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust charity (https://teenagecancertrust.org). It just remains for us to wish David a very happy day! Hipgnosis Exhibition opens in Germany
A recently opened exhibition of Hipgnosis pictures and artwork in Germany has been attracting a lot of interest from visitors, along with local media. Co-curator Aubrey ‘Po’ Powell was in touch with us, to provide some more detail on this for you all. Po said: “The Hipgnosis Exhibition ‘Breathe’ opened on Sunday 21st January to an enthusiastic crowd of 400 people. The exhibition runs over 3 floors of this wonderful gallery and contains 150 Hipgnosis pictures, curated by myself and John Colton of the Browse Gallery, Berlin. There has been great press and TV coverage. “The initial rooms celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon and all the artwork that has been designed by Hipgnosis or Storm Studios over the past fifty years related to that celebrated album. The Ludwig Schloss Gallery is in Oberhausen, 30 minutes by car from the centre of Dusseldorf. Germany has always been a huge admirer of Pink Floyd, and Hipgnosis, and this marks the sixth exhibition held over the last five years in that country, with many thanks to the continued support from Pink Floyd.” For more information on the gallery, and the exhibition – which runs until May 2024 – please visit Ludwiggalerie.de (https://www.ludwiggalerie.de/en/exhibition/current-exhibitions/). Our thanks to Po for the update, as well!

Two new songs released by Jon Carin on Spotify
Jon Carin, the Grammy Award winning musician, singer, songwriter and producer who has been a longtime collaborator with Pink Floyd and the solo careers of David Gilmour and Roger Waters, amongst many other top musicians, hasn’t been taking it easy during lockdown. Roger’s This Is Not A Drill tour was due to start on July 8th this year, and so Jon would have been in the thick of rehearsals for the concerts when lockdown struck. As you know, that tour has been postponed until next year, and we are awaiting the revised dates once they have been confirmed. It now seems like he’s been working hard on new material of his own, and two new songs have just been released onto Spotify, which are well worth checking out. The first of these is Like a Drug, an acoustic guitar driven song that is a nice, chilled listen. The other is called Fear Of Everything, a punchier song which gives more prominence to drums and keyboards, and we hope that these two songs are a taste of more to come from Jon. You can ‘Follow’ the Jon Carin artist page at Spotify to access these two songs, and over time, hopefully more.
