Indie-pop artist Roni Bar Hadas releases fantastically retro single “You’re Gonna Tell Me”, the second track from her forthcoming album Calm The Beast.
Roni Bar Hadas, hailing from Tel Aviv, shows off her unique synth-pop sound in this beautifully crafted new single. Two years of gigging around Israel have given her experience far beyond her years, evident from the maturity and clarity of her artistic identity.
“You’re Gonna Tell Me” was likely to be a cathartic writing process for Roni, heavily featuring heart-on-sleeve lyrics paired with a joyously danceable production, chock-full of 80s synths and electric guitars drenched in chorus. Live drums make the track feel all the more authentic, the smooth, swung flow of the outro reminiscent to that of Alexandra Savior’s, or Lana Del Rey’s.
To say that this single deserves top spot on the New Music Fridays of the streaming world would be to do it a disservice. It deserves true, appreciative listeners from all around the globe – Roni Bar Hadas is so much more than just a new indie-pop fad to follow. I would be surprised if “You’re Gonna Tell Me” doesn’t find its feet on international radio in the coming months.
With this release, the world waits in anticipation for the Calm The Beast album. Roni is about to unleash havoc in the genre of indie-pop, and redefine what it means to be an international artist. If you want to be one of the first on a very busy bandwagon, make sure to follow her on social media to keep up with new music.
