During his time at Man United Lukaku scored 27 goals in his first season, but he only managed 15 goals in the 2018-19 campaign.
After his goal against Bologna on Saturday, Lukaku has now moved onto 20 goals in Serie A this term.
Only Ciro Immobile (29) and Cristiano Ronaldo (25) have more goals than Lukaku.
HLN reporter Kristof Terreur has today confirmed that Lukaku’s 20-goal milestone has triggered the need for Inter to make a bonus payment to Man United.
The exact sum of the payment is unclear, however Calcio Mercato have reported that Inter agreed to pay up to 13 million euros in add-ons when they signed Lukaku.
A win-win transfer:
Romelu Lukaku found happiness in Milan and a manager who loves him. He has scored 26 goals in all competitions.
Man United will get bonuses on top of the €65m fee. Rashford (20 goals), Martial (20) & Mason Greenwood (15) are developping.
Everybody happy. https://t.co/qUHHhPJrjc
