A recent report in the English media has linked a number of Premier League clubs with Bertrand Traore.
Traore’s Lyon stint
Traore would begin his senior career at Chelsea after joining the Blues from French side AJ Auxerre’s youth ranks.
However, like so many youngsters who make the switch to Stamford Bridge, Traore was unable to garner any sort of regular football in the English capital.
Instead, the winger would make just 16 senior appearances for Chelsea.
Whilst on Chelsea’s books, the now 24-year-old would be farmed out on a series of loans.
The most notable of which saw him join Dutch powerhouse Ajax for the 2016/17 campaign.
During his spell in the Netherlands, Traore bagged 13 goals and six assists for Ajax.
This solid display in the Dutch capital led to French outfit Lyon signing Traore up on a permanent basis in the summer of 2017.
Lyon are understood to have paid around £9m for the former Chelsea man.
The African has since gone on to feature over 100 times for the Ligue 1 side, netting 33 and assisting 17 along the way.
Traore to the Premier League?
Traore would also feature fairly regularly during the 2019/20 campaign.
However, with the pacey wide-man having just under two years left on his current deal, it appears Lyon are ready to recoup their investment.
As per Sky Sports News, Lyon are prepared to sell the former Chelsea man this summer.
In terms of potential landing spots for Traore, all of Leicester, Newcastle, Everton and Crystal Palace are said to have watched the winger.
No fee is mentioned in the short report from SSN, though when the winger was linked with Bournemouth back in January, he was said to be rated at around £35m.
