“Leeds United are the best team in the Championship,” according to former striker Jermaine Beckford.
Leeds current sit in second place despite beating fellow favourites West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday, and while there’s a fair slog left of the season left to go (36 games to be precise) and therefore plenty of opportunities to bottle, we’re positive the miserable memories of last season’s demise, which saw them fall at the last against Frank Lampard’s Derby County, will spur them on to ultimate glory.
The Premier League could do with having Elland Road back on the agenda– forget the rest of them.

Beckford’s time in a Leeds shirt may have been and gone, but with 84 goals and 147 appearances for the club, including that FA Cup stunner against Manchester United at Old Trafford, he remains very much invested in their future.
