England hammer Albania
England’s under-21s would face off with Albania on Tuesday evening for their final Euro under-21 qualifier.
The Young Lions had already topped their group comfortably, boasting a solid lead over 2nd-place Austria pre-match.
Regardless, Aidy Boothroyd and co. will still no doubt have been keen to keep their momentum alive heading into the tournament.
And that is exactly what England would manage and in some style.
It would be Callum Hudson-Odoi who opened the scoring less than five minutes in, cutting in from the left to curl a lovely effort past Marco Molla.
James Justin and Jamal Musiala then gave England a three-goal lead heading into the break before a second-half brace from Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah saw the hosts emerge with a resounding 5-0 win.
It could have been six and Nketiah could have had his hat-trick but the hitman missed a penalty nine minutes from time.

The Chelsea star was also asked if England’s under-21s can go on to win the under-21 Euros next year, to which Hudson-Odoi responded:
“Yes, definitely. You want to win the trophy and win every game you play.
“I think the competition is big and whether it is the seniors or the U21s, you want to be involved. You want to get up there with the seniors for the trophy as well. We want to keep pushing ourselves and to try to win the trophy.”
