Fire Affair Unleashes Electrifying Thrid Single ‘Get In The Car’

Alt-Rock solo artist Fire Affair shines on her radiant third signle release ‘Get In The Car’.

The project of Spanish/American singer, songwriter, and producer Briana Capote, the track captures a striking cool edge through it’s excellent guitar tone and captivating riff. Taken from Fire Affair’s eagerly awaited debut album, ‘A Collection of Hyperboles,’ set to release later this year, the track showcases some brilliant alternative musicality.

Topped with the melodic, lead vocals the track progresses through it’s haunting verse to a chorus which lifts with a higher vocal melody and melancholic tinge. Inspired by the iconic film Thelma & Louise, the song delves into the transformative power of friendship and the desperate need to flee from pain. Lyrically, the track is raw and painfully honest, telling a poignant story of escaping an abusive relationship and finding solace in the unwavering support of friends who would go to any lengths, even driving off a cliff, to ensure your safety and freedom.

Speaking about the track Capote explains: “Get In The Car is a song about feeling lost and hurt and small,” shares Fire Affair. “Somehow finding the light through the embrace of those we hold near and dear. Escaping to a place where all the bad things cease to exist.”

Feeling like a theme out of an episode of True Detective, the track captures a captivating sense of emotion but also a dark, alternative rock twist which pulls it forwards and brings a radiant, BBC Radio 6-music-esque edge.
