Manchester United want to fund two monster midfielder signings by controversially binning off Jadon Sancho, Arsenal’s hopes of signing Dusan Vlahovic are rapidly fading, while Wednesday’s Euro Paper Talk claims Liverpool are being offered a French striker.
Barcelona offered Jadon Sancho deal
Manchester United are offering Barcelona the chance to sign Jadon Sancho following his ‘horrible’ start to life at Old Trafford, claims a surprise report.
The Red Devils finally snared Sancho over the summer after a three-year long chase. United, then under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, paid Borussia Dortmund £73m for the England winger.
However, his time at Old Trafford has been highly disappointing. In fact, Sancho has just one goal and zero assists from his first 17 Premier League appearances.
Now, according to Spanish publication El Nacional, Ralf Rangnick has already seen enough of the winger.
They report Sancho being offered to Barcelona, with Rangnick ready to cause uproar by accepting just £50m (€60m) for the winger. That would represent a loss of £23m for the Red Devils.
The report claims the Blaugrana has ‘not ruled him out’ after showing ‘enormous potential in Germany’. As such, they are currently looking at ways to finance his signing.
Rangnick asseses Jadon Sancho struggles
Rangnick spoke about Jadon Sancho on Tuesday, revealing he’s struggling with the pressure of his big-money move.
“It’s a different league and he is playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. Also, he needs to do a lot of the things up here in his head,” Rangnick said.
“It’s different if you come as an 18-year-old, unknown talented English boy to Borussia Dortmund. From then on, you can only improve. You can only make a success out of that.
“The level of expectation was a lot lower compared to situation where you come to a club like Manchester United for a high transfer fee with a high level of expectation.
“Everyone expected from him that he would be one of the best players in the team. This is psychologically and emotionally a more challenging situation than the one at Borussia Dortmund.”
Jadon Sancho sale to fund two midfielder deals
Rangnick, meanwhile, wants to use funds from the Sancho sale to bring in two monster midfielders.
As per widespread reports, the United interim boss is pressing hard to sign Jude Bellingham. He is so desperate to build United’s midfield around the teenager that he is offering Borussia Dortmund their pick of Eric Bailly, Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek.
First up though for Rangnick will be the signing of Amadou Haidara.
As per Fabrizio Romano, the German is pushing ahead with plans to sign the RB Leipzig star. He has a £32.4m exit clause in his contract – a fee they are willing to meet.
United are also chasing Borussia Monchengladbach’s Denis Zakaria – a free agent this summer.
However, Romano claims they are cooling their interest in Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni.
