Takes his chance
Dele Alli has taken advantage of the opportunity given to him this evening by Jose Mourinho. He produced a man of the match display as Tottenham cruised to a 4-1 (8-1 aggregate) victory against Wolfesberger in the Europa League.
Alli was involved in three of the goals including opening the scoring with a glorious bicycle kick in tenth minute, the second we have seen from a London team in Europe in 24 hours, after Olivier Giroud’s goal against Atletico Madrid last night.

He then created goals for Carlos Vinicius and Gareth Bale in a man of the match performance which drew praise from his manager.
“We had a difficult period… the market closed, the injury is gone, he starts working with lots of motivation and it’s coming!”
Jose Mourinho was happy to see a confident Dele and had a lot of praise for 16-year-old talent Dane Scarlett after Spurs’ win

Youngsters shine
Dele Alli wasn’t the only player to shine as youngsters Marcel Lavinier and Nile John came off the bench as did 16 year old Dane Scarlett, who laid on an assist for the second of Vinicius goals.
A night to remember for these two ✨

All in all a good night for Spurs as they ease into Friday’s draw for the round of 16, where they are likley to face stiffer opposition than they did tonight.
