With the imminent sale of many of David Gilmour’s guitars, there’s currently plenty of press attention and coverage, particularly in the US. As you know, Christie’s New York is handling the upcoming sale of a significant chunk of David’s personal guitar collection. With more than 120 guitars, including his preferred Fender models of Broadcasters, Esquires, Telecasters and Stratocasters, the auction on Thursday (20th June) marks a rare opportunity for guitar aficionados, musicians and collectors to explore one of the world’s most comprehensive groupings of guitars that hooked a generation. Tomorrow sees the final opportunity to visit the exhibition of the guitars in New York. Entry is free, but advance reservations are essential. Below you can see a short piece on CBS television in the US, looking at the sale. A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY: For a more in-depth look at the sale, and the guitars in question, there’s a 35 minute Sky Arts television special being aired on 28th June at 7:30pm. Auction: David Gilmour Special should be a fascinating look at this somewhat unexpected sale. It will be available in the UK, and no doubt a number of places in Europe (depending on satellite reception), via Sky, Virgin Media, Talk Talk TV and Now TV. It may also be available post-broadcast on the sky.com website.

Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets Roundhouse Blu-ray – NO region coding confirmed!
The announcement of Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets: Live At The Roundhouse, coming via Sony Records on April 17th, 2020 as a 2CD/DVD package, on double vinyl and on Blu-ray, has gone down very well with those who have already seen the band perform, and with those who haven't yet had the opportunity! These releases include the show in its entirety, and the video formats include some additional footage including interviews and rehearsals. The pair of Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets shows at London's Roundhouse on May 3rd and 4th were recorded with a grand total of 18(!) cameras were pressed into action on the second night. These included remotely operated cameras, and one suspended on wires which flew back and forth above the audience. The result of this expensive and challenging filming and recording exercise (cameras were positioned to minimise any impact on the audience) looks spectacular on the footage we've seen so far. This week, Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B083XWMFWG/braindamage-20) have alarmed some by noting that the Blu-ray edition won't be compatible in North America and other countries. We went direct to Sony to check this out, and we have had confirmation from them that this was an Amazon error (which Sony had Amazon correct immediately), and that the Blu-ray has NO region coding at all, so will be playable worldwide, irrespective of where you purchase it from. This is great news! For a full, early viewing of Live At The Roundhouse, there's exclusive screenings coming to cinemas in selected cities worldwide for one night only on March 10th, 2020 – details of participating cinemas can be found at NickMasonFilm.com (http://www.nickmasonfilm.com/) where tickets can also be purchased. This theatrical event will also include a pre-recorded cinema exclusive Q A with Nick Mason and the band where they will answer questions submitted by fans. ORDERING INFORMATION:You can order the various editions through the following direct links, taking advantage of Amazon's pre-order price guarantee so you will automatically pay the lowest asking price between placing your order, and release, whilst giving Brain Damage much needed help with running costs without costing you any extra. The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains gets Madrid extension
Just announced, and good news for those who have been meaning to get to the latest staging of The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains… Due to overwhelming praise from Pink Floyd fans in Spain and those who have visited from around the world, the promoters announced today that the exhibition in Madrid will be extended for six additional weeks. It is now scheduled to close on October 27th, 2019. Tickets for the extra six weeks are now available through www.pinkfloydexhibition.es (http://www.pinkfloydexhibition.es). If the Spanish staging is anything like past iterations of this exhibition (which originally opened at London’s Victoria Albert Museum in May 2017) it is a wonderful journey through the years of Pink Floyd’s history, even incorporating related items from the band member’s lives pre-Floyd. To see instruments, equipment, props, posters, and so much more that have been key elements, is a joy, and is not to be missed! Hopefully once the Madrid staging concludes, the exhibition will be packed up and on its way to a new location. Details of that, though, are yet to be revealed…
