A recent report in the English media has linked Chelsea with Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico.

Tagliafico has been on Ajax’s books since January of 2018.
The Dutch giants are understood to have paid just under £4m to Independiente for the Argentine’s services.
And that fee has since proven to be something of a bargain, given how impressive Tagliafico has been both domestically and in Europe for Ajax.
All told, the 27-year-old has notched 99 appearances across all competitions for Ajax, in which he has scored 12 and assisted 15 – a solid goal contributions record for a full-back.
Ajax’s domestic 2019/20 campaign would be cut short due to Covid-19, but the left-back still managed to net three and assist four in 24 league outings.

Chelsea eyeing Tagliafico
Despite being such an instrumental figure in the Netherlands and having just under two years left on his current contract, Tagliafico appears to be eyeing a fresh challenge.
The 27-year-old’s agent claimed back in May that they were looking for a transfer for Tagliafico.
Around the same time, it was claimed Chelsea had been informed they could sign Tagliafico for £22.4m.
Very little has happened on that front since, though, with the Blues instead seemingly keen to try and land Ben Chilwell.
However, it now looks as though the Londoners are once again eyeing Tagliafico.
As per a recent report from Sky Sports News:
Chelsea have expressed an interest in signing Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico.
It is added that whilst Chilwell remains Chelsea’s main left-back target, Leicester and the capital outfit are miles apart over a valuation, with Tagliafico potentially being viewed as an alternative signing.
