Celtic eased into the final eight of the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon to continue their hopes of clinching a fourth consecutive domestic treble.
The Bhoys soared past League One outfit Clyde at the Broadwood Stadium to set up a tie with St Johnstone in the next round.
Oliver Ntcham and skipper Scott Brown gave the SPFL giants an imposing lead at half-time before Vakoun Bayo added a third in the game’s dying stages to wrap up the victory.
Hoops boss Neil Lennon made six changes, handing a first start to January arrival Patryk Klimala, and fans have been reacting to his performance on social media.
Here’s what has been said:
Klimala looks a tidy wee player very sharp lovely touch and making good runs that the likes of ntcham and christie urny good enough to spot yet. Top debut

Really like the look of Klimala. He’s raw, but expected given his relative inexperience at the top level and age.
Very quick, good movement and tidy with the ball. Offers something different.

Klimala was good today btw. Good linkup and unlucky not to finish. Folk are so annoying.

Job done. Good seeing some players get game time. Happy for Bayo getting a goal, would’ve been good for Klimala to finish his chance but he showed some nice touches. Limited time but Shved looked lively

Klimala is a player. 🙈
— Ryan (@rdk7) February 9, 2020
Several fans were impressed with what they saw in the 21-year-old’s 75 minutes of action before he was substituted.
His pace, movement and ball control were particularly noted as key attributes whilst one supporter described it as a “top debut.”

KLIMALA WASTE OF MONEY 👀

Klimala isnt a option in my opinion his movement is terrible, Bayo shoukd be the 3rd striker
— Celtic67 (@doniemccourt) February 9, 2020
Bayo affected the game more in ten minutes than Klimala did in well over am hour. Klimala is rotten. Hopefully there's a player in there somewhere, but not seeing anything.

Klimala has been underwhelming, to put it mildly.

Klimala doesn’t look to good….
— Craig Canavan (@craig_canavan) February 9, 2020
I was there today Klimala was awful
— Pol MacFhionnghaile 🇮🇪🏴 (@mcginleybhoy) February 9, 2020
“Awful, “terrible,” and “underwhelming” were three superlatives used to describe Klimala’s game while one member of the Bhoys faithful claimed he was a waste of money.
It also led to a range of comparisons between past and present players…
People need a bit of patience with Klimala, I remember Dembele not looking up to much in 4 games against Red Imps and Astana.
Big Moussa took that 90th minute penalty and was flying from then on, but folk were calling him the next Amido Balde before that.

My mate @Sean_H1888 thinks Klimala is a better investment than Edouard.
— Kyley Cove (@kyle_mck) February 9, 2020
Bayo and Klimala both genuinely don’t look like strikers in front of goal
— Martino (@martino67_) February 9, 2020
One said that Moussa Dembele didn’t look the greatest in his opening matches, suggesting that fans were calling him the next Amido Balde before he secured a huge move to Lyon.
Another added that his mate claimed Klimala was a better investment than their current frontman Odsonne Edouard.
