“Better investment than Edouard” – Many Celtic fans discuss ace who “offers something different”

Celtic eased into the final eight of the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon to continue their hopes of clinching a fourth consecutive domestic treble.

The Bhoys soared past League One outfit Clyde at the Broadwood Stadium to set up a tie with St Johnstone in the next round.

Oliver Ntcham and skipper Scott Brown gave the SPFL giants an imposing lead at half-time before Vakoun Bayo added a third in the game’s dying stages to wrap up the victory.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon made six changes, handing a first start to January arrival Patryk Klimala, and fans have been reacting to his performance on social media.

Here’s what has been said:

Several fans were impressed with what they saw in the 21-year-old’s 75 minutes of action before he was substituted.

His pace, movement and ball control were particularly noted as key attributes whilst one supporter described it as a “top debut.”

However, not everyone was of the same opinion with others picking out the negatives from the Pole’s display.

“Awful, “terrible,” and “underwhelming” were three superlatives used to describe Klimala’s game while one member of the Bhoys faithful claimed he was a waste of money.

It also led to a range of comparisons between past and present players…

One said that Moussa Dembele didn’t look the greatest in his opening matches, suggesting that fans were calling him the next Amido Balde before he secured a huge move to Lyon.

Another added that his mate claimed Klimala was a better investment than their current frontman Odsonne Edouard.
