The Frenchman has even spoken of Los Blancos being a dream for him when asked about the possibility of signing for a club such as Real.
“The great clubs make me dream, but I cannot name one in particular for my future,” said the Rennes midfielder. However, he seemed in no hurry to make a decision on where his future would lie.
“We’ll see. We haven’t set a date to discuss my future, I’m in no rush about it. There will be negotiations to keep me here. It would be a pleasure for me to continue at Rennes. I still have two years left on my contract and we have enough time to talk about it,” he said.
Enter Bayern Munich
Whilst the likes of Real Madrid may be interested in the midfielder, it has now been reported that Bayern Munich are said to have added Camavinga to their list of potential targets.
The German champions have done well with French talent. Benjamin Savard, Corentin Tolisso, Lucas Hernandez and Kingsley Coman have all made an impact in Bavaria and there appears to be a further push now to further add more from the reigning world champions’ nation.
The report, which originates from French media, has stated that Bayern like the profile of Camavinga and see him as a long-term replacement for Javi Martinez. The Spaniard joined Bayern from Athletic Club and his current deal expires at the end of the season leaving a gap to fill.
Bayern had purchased Marc Roca from Espanyol however the Spaniard has seen little game time and was sent off on his first Champions League appearance. Despite this, Roca is a very talented footballer than shone in a very poor Espanyol side. He would be, alongside Joshua Kimmich, Tolisso and Leon Goretzka the main competition for the arrival of Camavinga.
German outlet BILD had also claimed recently that Bayern had added Camavinga’s name to their ‘shadow list’ which is a group of players that the club is secretly making enquiries about signing.
