AC Milan links

However, despite being in England for just one year, Torreira is already being linked with a move back to Italy.

Reports emerged on Wednesday that AC Milan were willing to offer the Gunners one of two players in exchange for Torreira.

It has also previously been reported that AC Milan were preparing a loan offer for the young midfielder.

Now though, Italian outlet Calciomercato, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport, is reporting that Arsenal are unwilling to loan Torreira who is said to be valued at €40m.

Torreira himself has also recently addressed the rumours of him moving to AC Milan.

But when speaking about said rumours, Torreira stated that nobody from AC Milan has actually contacted him:

“Nobody from AC Milan has got in touch with me, today I’m in the Premier and happy to be part of the Arsenal.

“It cost me, the adaptation. It’s not easy, but I only think about the team. I’m happy to be there.”As quoted by the Mirror

Torreira is currently on international duty with Uruguay, competing in the Copa America.
