Lamptey signs new contract with Brighton
Tariq Lamptey joined Brighton in the summer of 2020 from Chelsea.
The Seagulls are understood to have paid just less than £3m for the full-back, which looks set to be a solid but of business.
Lamptey has missed a number of Brighton’s recent games due to injury.
However, before being sidelined, the 20-year-old was a standout star in Graham Potter’s side.
In 11 league outings this term, the right-back has already managed to score one and provide three assists.
Such fine form has already seen Brighton reward the youngster with a fresh contract until 2025:

Arsenal, Man City & Everton linked with Lamptey
Such a lengthy deal may have seen the hopes of potential Lamptey suitors dampened

But according to a recent report from the Athletic, Lamptey’s new deal is unlikely to discourage the clubs who were keen on recruiting him, with it added that Brighton’s asking price is expected to be similar despite his new deal.
In terms of teams interested in Lamptey, the Athletic credit all of Arsenal, Everton and Manchester City with an interest:
