Calhanoglu’s Milan stint
Hakan Calhanoglu has been on AC Milan’s books since 2017.
The 25-year-old joined Milan from German outfit Bayer Leverkusen for a fee believed to be just north of £20m.
Calhanoglu has made 109 appearances for the Rossoneri since his move from Germany.
And the free-kick specialist has had a fairly decent stint in Milan, scoring 14 and assisting 24 across all competitions.
However, the Turkish international hasn’t had the most fruitful start to the 2019/20 campaign.
In 18 Serie A outings this term, Calhanoglu has scored just two and provided one assist with his last goal contribution for Milan coming back in October of 2019.
Calhanoglu is currently contracted to Milan until 2021.

Calhanoglu to Arsenal?
Despite his fairly poor form of late, Calhanoglu is now being linked with a move to the Premier League.
The Mirror are reporting that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is considering a loan move for the AC Milan star with the Italian outfit said to be ready to offload Calhanoglu:
New Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is considering a move to take AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu on loan as he looks to bolster his squad.
Milan are ready to offload the 25-year-old Germany-born Turkey midfielder as they remould their squad following a disappointing start to the season.
While Calhanoglu is unlikely to be a huge signing for the Gunners, should they indeed be eyeing a move for him, Arsenal apparently don’t have a lot of money to work with in the current window.
The Telegraph recently reported that Arsenal’s stretched finances mean they are more likely to pursue loan deals than permanent transfers.
And while Calhanoglu isn’t in the best form of late, he is versatile, an asset Arteta would likely find useful.
