On March 27th, State of Mine released their new album, Seeing Red. The title track is up first, and itâs upbeat and has a catchy chorus. You can check out the music video for it here. State of Mine covered Post Maloneâs âTake What You Want,â giving a heavier sound to the song while maintaining its rap vibe. My favorite song on the album is âCanât Stop Me,â which perfectly fuses a mix of genres, including metalcore, hip-hop, and rock. State of Mine also covered âItâs Been Awhileâ by Stand. The focus on the piano at the beginning of the song makes this cover stand out from the original. âParanoid,â a cover of the Black Sabbath song, is fast and is filled with impressive guitar solos. The album also includes the radio edits of âCanât Stop Meâ and âItâs Been Awhile.â Seeing Red may only consist of two original songs and three covers, but all five tracks are songs that make me want to put this album on repeat for a long time.
