Album Review: Courage My Love – ‘Spectra’

Courage My Love dropped their new EP, Spectra, on May 1st. The EP opens with “Teenagers,” a light, summery song. “Original” has a poppy sound that sticks with you, and its lyrics are filled with 80’s references. The music video for “Girls” was released a few months ago, and you can check it out here. “Slow Motion” is fast and will make you want to dance. “Harlequin Romance” has a smooth sound and a catchy chorus. My favorite track on the EP is “Everybody’s Lonely.” The last song on Spectra, “Sleeptalker,” starts of slow but gradually picks up and is filled with lots of echoing effects. As soon at Spectra was over, I wanted to listen to it again to get more of it. I love how Courage My Love was able to release an EP that is soothing with its sound yet simultaneously makes you want to get up and dance around.
