Chelsea 1-Everton 1
Chelsea welcomed Everton to Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening, looking to bounce back from their poor run of form.
Thomas Tuchel’s side had recently been conceding goals for fun, struggling to see off opposition and looking well off their early-season pace.
This had allowed both Liverpool and Manchester City to overtake Chelsea in the Premier League.
And, with Manchester City having already won this gameweek and Liverpool facing a struggling Newcastle around the same time as Chelsea’s game, the Londoners will have been well aware that nothing but a win would have done against Everton.
However, when all was said and done, Chelsea had to settle for a share of the spoils.
Mason Mount did fire the hosts into the lead on the day:

However, Jarrad Branthwaite pulled Chelsea level with around 15 minutes to go and that is how the tie finished.

That man? Jorginho, who seemed to vent his frustration at Ruben Loftus-Cheek during the tie.
As per football.london, the Italian’s frustrations with RLC boiled over after the Englishman gave the ball away cheaply with a misplaced pass and Everton countered, forcing Jorginho to bring down Gordon and receive a yellow card.
This promoted Jorginho to immediately ‘give an earful’ to Loftus-Cheek,
