Playing in the centre of midfield, Soucek’s stats show how good his evening was as his country got off to an excellent start in their World Cup Qualifiers. He scored in the 32nd, 43rd and 48th minutes and was joined on the score sheet by Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick, Udinese owned but Hellas Verona’s Antonin Barak and Sampdoria’s Jakub Jankto.

The player is enjoying some week after being named as the Czech Republic’s player of the year.
In news that ought to surprise no-one, Tomas Soucek has been named Czech Player of the Year (and his West Ham team-mate Vladimir Coufal was second).
In an exclusive interview last month he talked through how he has developed that scoring knack https://t.co/YT5oJqOGYZ

Fan Favourite
Soucek has featured in all 29 Premier League games for West Ham so far this season and has established himself as a real fan’s favourite at the London Stadium and has been one of David Moyes best players.
He has been a central to West Ham’s sustained push for the European places this season and his country will be hoping his form continues into Euro 2020, where they have been drawn with England, Scotland and Croatia.
