Newcastle Falcons have confirmed that up and coming prop Phil Brantingham will depart the club, after agreeing a move to Saracens at the end of the season. The front row will be sorely missed by fans in the North East, as he has been amongst the Falcons’ breakthrough talents throughout their campaign.
Brantingham made 25 caps for his home-town club, and has caught the eye of Mark McCall at just 22-years-old. The impressive young gun gets set for a new chapter at the StoneX Stadium, and will be a valued asset to the North Londoners for next season. Brantigham was given well wishes from the club, despite their best efforts of keeping him at Kingston Park.
Newcastle Chairman of Rugby Matt Thompson said; “Phil has done well for us and we made him a good offer to stay here.
“We respect his decision and wish him all the best for his move in the summer, but between now and then he will be fully committed to finishing the season strongly for Newcastle Falcons.”
