England winger Jonny May could have to accept a pay cut if he is to remain at Leicester Tigers.
The struggling Gallagher Premiership club are aiming to free up money to rebuild their squad ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Tigers have four England players out of contract in the summer and have prioritised the retention of George Ford and Ellis Genge.
Leicester also want to keep Ben Youngs, meaning May’s only chance of staying at Welford Road would be taking a payout.
Gloucester are thought to be ken on bringing the speedster back to KIngsholm, but it could come down to who has the funds to make him the best offer.
