George Ford will end speculation he’s set to leave Welford Road and give Leicester Tigers fans some Christmas cheer in the midst of a horrendous season by signing a new improved deal.
According to the Mail Online, while talks are still ongoing, the two are reportedly close to an agreement which could see his salary rise to £600,000.

However he is not their only World Cup star who is out of contract in the summer with Jonny May, Ben Youngs, Dan Cole and Ellis Genge also close to the end of their deals.
Scrum-half Youngs is reportedly a target for Northampton Saints while Bristol Bears want to bring hometown hero Ellis Genge back to Ashton Gate
The Bears, along with Sale Sharks had been monitoring Ford’s situation, but the 26-year-old wants to stay at the club and help them improve upon their current 11th place league position..
