As you’ll see below, if you read this before 5pm UK time on Friday, that’s when the live stream starts. What will they play? How much will they allow us to see of the current rehearsals? Nick Mason “Inside Out” signed copies – updated order form

For the last TWENTY YEARS (!) one of the most popular items that have been promoted through Brain Damage is Nick Mason’s excellent book, Inside Out: A Personal History Of Pink Floyd signed with your choice of dedication, by Nick himself. Even though the offer has been running for such a long time, we’ve had confirmation (with an updated order form to reflect the edition of the book that his office has available) that Nick is still more than happy to take care of this for you! What better present for the Floyd nut in your life, or indeed, for yourself? Below is the current version of the order forms (from August 2024) which is the only one that should be used from now on; if you have any older versions that you were in the process of completing, please disregard them. The nice people at Nick’s office organising it offer recorded/signed delivery, whichever country you live in. Sent from the UK, the cost of the book – the UK’s recent limited edition hardback – is £80, plus shipping. This is priced at £16 (for the UK), £22 (Europe) and £33 (North America and the rest of the world), all of which require a signature on delivery. Now, those who have seen this hardback edition (the one that Nick is signing for you) will know it weighs a ton (figuratively speaking) – so wherever you live, it is an expensive item to send. However, where else can you get Nick to put your chosen message for a loved one (or yourself!) down in writing, and know that it is genuine (unlike some of the items sold daily on eBay with obviously faked signatures on)? Please be aware that at certain times, Nick may be on holiday or involved in various projects – such as his band, Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets, who have just concluded their latest tour – which obviously has quite an effect on the speed that books can be signed and sent – especially as Nick writes each dedication himself. No secretarial signatures or pre-signed books here! To order the book, simply download the following form: Nick Mason signed and dedicated Inside Out book order form and complete your details, emailing the form through to the address given at the bottom. Full delivery and payment details are included on the form. Please order very early to ensure delivery for specific events (such as birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations). Our thanks to Nick and his team for continuing to make this possible.

New issue of Prog Magazine with large David Gilmour features and Nick Mason’s Saucers reviewed

Prog Magazine (https://www.magazinesdirect.com/az-single-issues/47052423/prog-magazine-single-issue.thtml) – and as you’ll see from the cover image, it’s got plenty to interest fans of David Gilmour and Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets! Prog gave us the following rundown of what the issue offers: “Nine years after David Gilmour released his last solo album he is about to release Luck And Strange. That evocative guitar tone, those emotive solos, that distinct voice – all those components that make up a great Gilmour album are all in place. He tells us all about his upcoming release, and that he’s already planning a follow-up, plus we asked 30 of his peers, collaborators, fellow musicians and fans in the prog world to pick their favourite David Gilmour performance. “Also in this issue Thijs van Leer tells us all about the new Focus album, 12; Gryphon recall 1974, a year that saw them release two great albums and tour with Yes; Fairport Convention’s Dave ‘Peggy’ Pegg looks back over his career; and we track down former ELO bass player Michael de Albuquerque. “Elsewhere, we have the latest from Tim Bowness, Jadis, Azure, Rendezvous Point, Evergrey and Alcest; we review the new album from Leprous and catch Yes, Saucerful Of Secrets, Caligula’s Horse and more in the live arena. “We also have a free sampler from Spirit Of Unicorn Music with fantastic music from Yes, Keith Emerson, Greg Lake, Focus, John Wetton and loads more and four great David Gilmour postcards.” The main article with David – where he notes that Luck and Strange “is the best album I’ve made in all those years since 1973, when The Dark Side Of The Moon came out” – is an in-depth, six page look at the things which shaped the new album, and how it came together, through the words of Gilmour and Polly Samson. Inevitably, the list of his 30 greatest performances as chosen by fellow musicians will prove to fans as interesting as it will be divisive and debate stoking. Will your favourite be in there? Finally, on the Floyd related front, there’s a very (and rightly) enthusiastic two-page review of Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets live at London’s Royal Albert Hall recently, concluding their 2024 UK tour. You can order Prog Magazine through this link (https://www.magazinesdirect.com/az-single-issues/47052423/prog-magazine-single-issue.thtml) although depending on when you read this, the new issue might not yet be showing there. There also seems to be a pop up offer which could save you 5% on your order (although there are terms and conditions attached, so please check those).
