UPDATED: David Gilmour announces US shows in Los Angeles, CA, and New York, NY

Gilmour and his band will be playing at the legendary Hollywood Bowl, in Los Angeles, California, on Tuesday 29th (https://www.brain-damage.co.uk/2024-david-gilmour-tour-zone/october-29th-hollywood-bowl-hollywood-los-angeles-c.html) and Wednesday 30th October (https://www.brain-damage.co.uk/2024-david-gilmour-tour-zone/october-30th-hollywood-bowl-hollywood-los-angeles-c.html), before heading up to New York City, New York, for a brace of shows at Madison Square Garden, in Manhattan, on Monday 4th (https://www.brain-damage.co.uk/2024-david-gilmour-tour-zone/november-4th-madison-square-garden-new-york-city-n.html) and Tuesday 5th November (https://www.brain-damage.co.uk/2024-david-gilmour-tour-zone/november-5th-madison-square-garden-new-york-city-n.html). That last date – 5th November, is not just National Doughnut Day in America, but also the day of the US election, where the next president will be voted on and elected. David played two nights in both venues in 2016 on his last tour, so it’s not a huge surprise to see him return to them. For the 2024 dates, these will be the ONLY North American cities, and join the dates in London, England, and Rome, Italy on the schedule. The venue itself is running a presale (we think through Ticketmaster) on Thursday, May 16th, at 10am local time, with a password of SOCIAL. Over the last couple of years, and in what could be almost seen as a bit of a Christmas present to the fans, Pink Floyd have quietly released a number of 1973 live recordings on the various streaming services, such as Spotify (https://www.spotify.com), Apple Music (https://music.apple.com), YouTube Music (https://music.youtube.com), Amazon Music (https://music.amazon.co.uk) and also the band’s official YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/pinkfloyd). The quality is rather variable – by the very nature of the unofficial, audience recordings – but the shows give a fascinating look at the concerts performed at the time of release of The Dark Side Of The Moon.
