The Northampton Saints made his comeback as a substitute in the match against Wales, but unfortunately, he suffered another setback.
In other news, the 27-man squad for the upcoming match against France has been announced. Fly-half Marcus Smith has been included in the squad, while George Ford has returned to Sale.
Despite being released from camp last week, Smith is expected to play against France on Saturday.
“We’ve got three world-class 10s, and we felt it was the right thing for Marcus to get some minutes,” Sinfield told BBC Sport.
“The balance for us is trying to get the makeup of a squad right each week, so that we’ve got everyone fit to train on a Monday and also make sure we look after players in the right way, and sometimes that is conflicting.
“We all feel it was the right thing for Marcus to go back and play, and he was outstanding, wasn’t he?
“I think for him to play like he did means he is massively in the mix.”
On Saturday, March 11, the Twickenham Stadium in London will host the England versus France rugby match, which will begin at 4.45pm (GMT).
Other matches scheduled for the same weekend include Italy versus Wales, aimed at avoiding the last place, at 2.15pm on Saturday, and Scotland versus Ireland at 3pm on Sunday, March 12.
