Trippier to Atletico
Kieran Trippier has been honing his craft with Tottenham since moving from Burnley in 2015.
In total, Trippier has featured 114 times for Spurs, in which he has scored two and assisted 24.
Trippier’s spell in North London has largely been successful but the 2018/19 campaign was not his best, something the full-back has himself admitted:
“I have had plenty of interviews about my performances this season and it has not been good at all. I am the first one to say that.” As quoted by Sky Sports News.
Now though, it looks as though Tripper’s time in North London is coming to an end.
According to Sky Sports News, Trippier is edging closer to a move to Atletico Madrid.
The report from Sky claims Trippier is seen as a replacement for Juanfran.
Both Spurs and Atletico are believed to be confident that a deal for Trippier can be agreed by the weekend, as per Sky.
Correa & Tottenham
Furthermore, the same report from Sky is also claiming that as part of the negotiations with Trippier, Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be given the chance to sign Angel Correa.
However, it is currently unclear if Spurs actually want to sign the Argentine.
Correa moved to Atletico in 2015 for a fee belived to be around £6.75m.
The winger has since featured in 188 games across all competitions for Atletico.
But this past season wasn’t exactly the best from the now 24-year-old.
In 36 La Liga appearances throughout 2018/19, Correa scored just three and assisted two.
