Footage of Jurgen Klopp in conversation with Martin Odegaard on the back of Liverpool’s win over Arsenal this evening has taken centre stage in the post-match chatter.
Jota steals the show
Klopp and co. were of course back in action a short time ago, in a meeting with the Gunners at the Emirates.
Liverpool headed into proceedings aiming to carry forth an encouraging spell of form prior to the international break, which saw the Reds pick up successive wins over RB Leipzig and Wolves.
And, when all was said and done in the capital this evening, this is precisely what the visitors managed.
An utterly dominant performance eventually saw Liverpool emerge on the right side of a 3-0 scoreline, to climb up to 5th in the Premier League table.
The game’s scoring was opened just past the hour mark, when Diogo Jota, minutes after being introduced off the bench, headed home Trent Alexander-Arnold’s wicked delivery from the right:

And it was two less than five minutes later, as Mohamed Salah slotted coolly through Bernd Leno’s legs, before difference maker Jota added his 2nd of the night to round out a fine Liverpool display:

Klopp eyeing Odegaard?
Whilst the 90 minutes themselves of course proved of an altogether enjoyable nature for fans of the Reds, though, as outlined above, it was ongoings on the pitch post-match which have since proven a major talking point in the game’s aftermath.
This comes after Jurgen Klopp was spotted by Sky Sports’ cameras approaching on-loan Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard.
The pair went on to engage in a brief discussion, before putting an arm around one another, as Odegaard left the pitch:

Such scenes, in turn, have inevitably sent tongues wagging regarding what exactly the pair may have touched on during their exchange, just days after it was suggested that Liverpool could rival Arsenal for Odegaard’s signature this summer.
