Tottenham Hotspur managed to stage a second half turnaround to beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 in the early kick-off on Boxing Day.
Adam Webster gave the visitors a first half lead before Harry Kane and Dele Alli scored the goals needed to clinch a vital victory following the humbling defeat against Chelsea last weekend.
It was far from a vintage display from the hosts and naturally a handful of individuals came in for criticism on social media in the aftermath of proceedings.
One of those players was Lucas Moura, who played a key role in setting up Harry Kane’s equaliser before he was substituted in the 74th minute.
From the perspective of plenty of Spurs fans, his performance left plenty to be desired and they didn’t hold back in their criticism on Twitter…
He was dreadful

Moura is awful, no coincidence how bad we have been since he starting.

A lack of quality on the day is one thing but there was even a supporter who suggested the Brazilian was lacking effort on the day – something that the Brazilian is rarely accused of.
Lucas Moura has been so lazy last few games. Ball watching. #COYS

Lucas has, with the exception of the 3-2 over Bournemouth last month, been an ever-present in the Premier League starting XI since Jose Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino at the helm.
But some appear to be growing frustrated with his consistent inclusion in light of his latest performance against the Seagulls.
Mourinho’s produced some incredible footballing stars – how much do you know about them?
Indeed, these fans claimed the former PSG winger is not good enough to justify his place in the starting lineup and suggested he should be dropped.
Lucas is no where near good enough to start for us. He’s a sub at best

Moura needs to be a sub.

Please consider this my weekly tweet complaining about Lucas Moura. Not good enough to be starting for us. See also Moussa Sissoko. #COYS #THFC #TOTBRI
