Tottenham saw a striker turn down a move to the club, but they are confident of landing a defender before next week, and Leeds are chasing a midfielder and defender in January, all in the papers.
SPURS CONFIDENT OF ADDING DEFENDER
Tottenham are confident that can get a deal done for Swansea centre-back Joe Rodon before the October 16 domestic deadline.
Thee Evening Standard reporter Dan Kilpatrick say Spurs are “optimistic” they can get secure a move for the Wales defender.
Talks are “ongoing” for the 22-year-old, who played against England at Wembley on Thursday night.
For the time being the two clubs are some distance apart over a transfer fee, but with a week to go before the deadline, the club are hoping they can agree a transfer.
Jose Mourinho was looking for a defender all summer and Milan Skriniar was believed to be a target for the Portuguese boss.
According to Wales Online, Tottenham could include Cameron Carter-Vickers in any prospective deal for Rodon to help them get the deal over the line.
