Owen Farrell has addressed his Saracens teammates and told them he won’t quit the club as they look set to be relegated, according to reports.
The defending champions are facing the drop at the end of the season for exceeding salary cap limits.
While this would probably lead to a dismantling of the squad, playing in the Championship would not stop players from representing England.
The Sun report Farrell addressed his fellow players towards the end of the meeting to say he would not be heading for the exit door despite the prospect of playing in the Championship next season.
They report the England star telling them he couldn’t wait to get back out on the pitch for their European contest against Racing 92 on Sunday.
