Wasps’ preparations for the new Gallagher Premiership season have been thrown into chaos after the club was unable to meet a key deadline on the repayment of a £35million retail bond.

The club said in a statement: “Wasps would like to thank all those players who are leaving the Club at the end of the season for their hard work and passion in the Black and Gold shirt.”
