Man City closing in on Rodri?
With Fernandinho now 33 years of age Manchester City appear to be in the market for a new holding midfielder.
If recent reports are anything to go by, they look to have found that man in Atletico Madrid’s Rodri.
According to the Mirror, Man City hope to complete the signing of Rodri next week for £62m, which is his reported release clause.
Atletico Madrid have also recently finalised the signing of Marcos Llorente from Real Madrid.
Fabrizio Romano expects Llorente to be Rodri’s replacements at Atletico.

Rodri has played 47 games across all competitions for Atletico, in which he scored three and assisted one.
Delph to leave City?
While City signing Rodri should prove to be a good bit of business for the Premier League Champions, it may have a knock-on effect on one of their current players.
According to the Mail, once City complete the signing of Rodri, they will be open to listening to offers for Fabian Delph.
Delph struggled for game time throughout the 2018/19 season, managing just 11 Premier League appearances.
The 29-year-old also has just one year remaining on his current deal with the Citizens.
The Englishman has additionally been linked with a move to Galatasaray.
