Bath are very much shifting their focus to younger players in recent times with Harlequins fly-half Marcus Smith the latest exciting talent to be linked with a move to the Rec.
But what does it mean for their current crop of stars? With a number of exciting moves on the cards, the black,blue and whites may have to try and shift some players who are out of contract in 2021 to open up room in their salary cap.
Here, we look at five Bath stars who are out of contract in 2021, and where they’re likely to end up.
1. Jonathan Joseph
The centre is thought to be out of contract in 2021 after last extending his deal at the Rec in 2019. Joseph, who joined the club in 2013 from London Irish, has 51 caps for his country while he also toured New Zealand with the Lions in 2017. There was a whisper that he could rejoin the Exiles, but that is just speculation at this point.
