Just the other day, Tottenham Hotspur’s U18 squad took down Liverpool in the third round of FA Youth Cup with the final score standing at 4-2 in favour of Spurs.
It was a hard-fought battle and while winning against the Reds is big enough already, many fans were even happier with Troy Parrott’s brace that led them to victory in the first place.

Upon seeing him take and successfully score penalties for Spurs, many of them were quick to draw comparisons with the senior team’s Harry Kane, stating Parrott is slowly but surely turning into his teammate.

Interestingly enough, taking penalties is not the only trait these two Spurs stars have in common. While Kane is very much known for his goal-scoring abilities – seeing how he’s already netted a total of 177 across 271 games played for Tottenham Hotspur – Parrott, although only 17 at the moment, is demonstrating a rich vein of form in front of goal.
After all, the youngster has already tallied eight goals across all competitions he took part in this season, including both senior and youth level, and has also 15 goals in 13 games for the U18 side.
For that reason, it also doesn’t really come as a surprise to see many fans calling for his promotion to the senior team as he’s one of the top talents Spurs have in their academy.
Many were saying Daniel Levy must ensure the kid stays at the club while others were just pointing out that he needs to step up to the senior squad.
Of course, there were some who were simply gushing over that performance and were extremely happy with the youngster’s display.
