England will top Pool C and progress to the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup as group winners if their match against France is called off due to Super Typhoon Hagibis.
The competition is at risk of being thrown into chaos when the typhoon makes landfall over the weekend, with extreme weather set to hit the Tokyo region and bring 160mph winds.
As well as England’s match against France on Saturday, Scotland’s crunch clash with hosts Japan on Sunday is also in danger – as is the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka.
Here’s an early look at how the quarter-final match-ups could look.
Quarter-final 1 (Winner of Pool C v Runner up of Pool D)
Looking like: England v Australia
Quarter-final 2 (Winner of Pool B v Runner up of Pool A)
Looking like: New Zealand v Ireland
Quarter-final 3 (Winner of Pool D v Runner up of Pool C)
Looking like: Wales v France
Quarter-final 4 (Winner of Pool A v Runner up of Pool B)
Looking like: Japan v South Africa
