England speedster Anthony Watson was overlooked by Eddie Jones for his squad ahead of the 2022 Autumn Nations Series.
The speedster, who missed almost the entire 2021/22 season through injury, joined Leicester Tigers from Bath in the summer.
Making his 100th Premiership appearance, Watson scored the crucial bonus-point try on Sunday as Tigers bounced back with a superb 27-19 away win against Harlequins at Twickenham Stoop.
His try three minutes from the end was a classic read and snatch, which is much harder than it looks.
One fan wrote: “Anthony Watson was class today. He’s finally back to his best,”
“Watson still has the lot for me. He’d be in my England XV.” added a second.
A third supporter added: “Are you watching Eddie Jones? Get Watson back in the mix,”
Encouragingly for Jones, who revealed Watson still has a chance of forcing his way back into the reckoning, this weekend was the speedsters first full 80 minutes since the 2021 Lions tour.
