How much is Richarlison worth?
Everton have reportedly rejected a €100million bid from Barcelona for their star forward Richarlison, with the Brazilian having recently signed a new deal.
Richarlison has impressed at Goodison Park since his move from Watford in the summer of 2018.
The reported fee at the time of that deal raised some eyebrows, with Richarlison reportedly costing Everton around £40million.
Though, the Brazilian has only improved since he joined.
In his first season, Richarlison scored a solid 13 Premier League goals, predominantly playing on the left-wing.
That is also despite a goal slump from January to the end of the season.
So far this season, Richarlison has scored eight goals and assisted three and recently signed a new contract at the Blues.
However, Barcelona have reportedly made an eye-watering bid for him.
Barcelona bid €100million for Richarlison
According to Sky Sports, Everton have rejected an offer of €100million from Barcelona for Richarlison.
That works out at a whopping £85million.
Their report claims: ‘Everton rejected the offer immediately, unwilling to sell one of their prized assets as they look to strengthen their squad – rather than deplete it.’
The fact that no consideration even went into that offer emphasises just how much of a key player Richarlison is at Everton.
Sky’s report goes on to explain that ‘Richarlison is a long-standing target of Barca’s sporting director Eric Abidal’.
Abidal even enquired about Richarlison’s availability after last season.
However, Sky claim those advances were knocked back and Everton still look very keen to keep hold of possibly their most talented player.
There is no mention of whether Barcelona could return with an even bigger bid, but Everton fans will no doubt be slightly concerned.
