Eddie Jones’ position as England coach has come under fresh speculation due to what was meant to be a temporary pay-cut.
The Australian has revealed that Jones will have to accept a ‘longer term’ 25% cut in his salary, which reduced his earnings from £750,000 per season to around £550,000 per season.

Therefore, Jones is now interested in a move to Sydney-based NRL side Canterbury Bulldogs, having already been linked with another rugby league side, Cronulla Sharks.
The Daily Mail also say that coaching opportunities have arisen for the man, who led England to the 2019 Rugby World Cup final, in Japan’s Top League and the MLR in the USA.

Jones agreed back in March to take a 25% cut in his wages to fall in line with all senior employees at the RFU.
But it was thought to be a temporary measure. Now, as Twickenham chiefs brace themselves for losses of up to £107 million, it is claimed Jones and his assistant coaches will stay on their amended terms for the foreseeable future.
